Three-division world champion Mikaela Mayer joins Most Valuable Promotions!
In a move that reflects both ambition and timing, three-division world champion Mikaela Mayer has signed a promotional agreement with Most Valuable Promotions, the rapidly growing boxing company founded by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian.
The deal places one of the sport’s most accomplished fighters under a banner that has increasingly positioned itself as a major platform for women’s boxing.
For Mayer, the move aligns with her long-standing goal of pursuing the biggest fights available and it represents the beginning of a new chapter. Mayer said, “I’ve always wanted the biggest and best fights,” Mayer said. “MVP’s premier roster of women champions creates incredible opportunities to make those matchups happen.”
She added that the promotion’s commitment to women’s boxing was a major factor in the decision. “I’m thrilled to join Most Valuable Promotions as we continue breaking barriers and elevating women’s boxing to new heights.”
A Proven Champion
Mayer has built one of the most respected résumés in the women’s game.
A member of the 2016 United States Olympic team, Mayer turned professional in 2017 and quickly established herself as a technically polished fighter with a strong jab, intelligent footwork and the temperament for championship bouts.
Her career includes world titles in three weight divisions.
Mayer first rose to prominence in the junior lightweight division where she unified the WBO and IBF titles during her tenure with Top Rank. In 2022 she fought Alycia Baumgardner in a high-profile undisputed championship bout that was widely regarded as one of the best fights in women’s boxing that year.
After that close decision loss, Mayer moved up the scale and continued to pursue major fights.
She captured the WBO welterweight title by defeating Sandy Ryan and later moved again in weight, defeating Canada’s Mary Spencer by unanimous decision in October 2025 to claim the WBA and WBC super-welterweight titles.
With those victories Mayer became a champion in three divisions. Her professional record now stands at 22 victories against 2 defeats with 5 knockouts.
MVP’s Expanding Role
Founded in 2021, Most Valuable Promotions has steadily expanded its presence in boxing. The promotion gained global attention when Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano headlined Madison Square Garden in 2022, the first women’s bout to headline the venue.
Since then MVP has made women’s boxing a central part of its strategy. Serrano, one of the sport’s most decorated champions, signed a lifetime promotional agreement with the company and remains a cornerstone of its roster.
Adding Mayer provides another established champion capable of competing in high-level fights across multiple divisions. “Mikaela is one of the best fighters in women’s boxing,” Bidarian said in announcing the signing. “Her accomplishments speak for themselves and she represents the type of elite athlete we want to showcase.”
A Fighter Who Seeks Challenges
Mayer has built her career on willingness to face difficult opposition.
Whether it was unifying titles at 130 pounds, stepping into the ring with Baumgardner for undisputed honors, or moving through two additional weight classes in pursuit of championships, Mayer has consistently sought meaningful fights rather than protected records.
That mindset remains unchanged. At 35, Mayer continues to compete at the highest levels of the sport while pursuing the kind of matchups that define careers.
With a new promotional home and a growing women’s boxing landscape that features champions across multiple divisions, Mayer now enters the next phase of her career with familiar goals.
The objective remains the same as it has been since her Olympic days. Big fights, world titles and a lasting place among the sport’s elite.
